Real Kids Shades Giveaway!

Image
If you know me you'd know that I slather the sunscreen on my kids. I want to protect them from skin cancer now & for the future. Another thing most people don't realize is that the sun can also cause major eye damage. Water play & skiing are the most damaging to the eyes besides staring straight into the sun, which you should never do by the way! You should wear protective eye gear as often as you can. Did you know that children's eyes are at increased risk for permanent eye damage from sunlight until they're at least 10 years old? Yea.. Scary, and unlike skin cells, eye lenses cannot repair themselves. Once they're damaged they're damaged forever and can lead to serious eye disease and even blindness! Real Kids Shades makes great sunglasses for kids. They're not like the cheap crap you buy at toy stores. Actually wearing those cheap glasses can do more harm to a child's eyes wearing them than not wearing anything at all. Shaded lenses w

Funkins Reusable Napkins Review and Giveaway

Image
Funkins were created to make lunchtime more fun and environmentally friendly. Funkins are the inspiration of MyFunkins Founder Lisa Baumgartner, who in 2005 found herself in need of washable napkins for kids when her son Braeden’s school asked parents to help reduce school lunch waste. But there were none to be found! Eight years later, with Brett and Rachel also in school, Lisa was surprised to discover there were still no kids’ cloth napkins on the market! And so, Funkins were born. Now, when Braeden, Brett and Rachel open their lunch boxes and see their Funkins, they are reminded that mom is thinking of them. And envisioning her children’s faces when they open their lunches warms Lisa’s heart! They come in so many different designs to choose from. So cute for boys or for girls. My youngest daughter loved the ladybugs. My 5 year old son loved the dinosaurs. I loved that each child can pick their own so that they have a special napkin all their own. I also love that you c

Pedi Protexx Review and Giveaway

Image
We've all done it! All our girlfriends have too! And it is SO FRUSTRATING! You've paid well-earned money for a pedicure. You've enjoyed it, but now you don't have the time to wait to let it dry. So you put on the flip-flops and head out the door, only to bump your foot or drop your keys and smudge your perfect pedicure. Pedi Protexx is a revolutionary new product that protects wet toe nail polish from the minute it is applied until it is dry. Rework and retouches are reduced significantly. Smudged polish eats up productivity time, and it is annoying. Pedi Protexx surrounds the foot with a protective shell large enough to prevent damage to the wet polish even if the foot bumps against something. The Pedi Protexx plastic hood slides on any flip-flop type sandal. The device stays in place due to the patented design that grabs the thong of the flip flop. One size fits most feet. You can walk or drive while wearing Pedi Protexx. Here is the frustrating

The X by Lorena Bathey Review and Giveaway

Image
The X is a book that shows that women really can stand up for themselves. Just because you are a woman does not mean that you have to sit by and let a man take advantage of you. Clarissa is a wife and mom of 2 teen boys. Both Jeremy and Sean are very active, strong boys. Her and her husband have been falling farther and farther apart for years. But one day out of the blue Clarissa is served divorce papers. What would you do if you were served divorce papers with no warning? Clarissa did, at first, what most women would. But then after speaking to a friends father and a retired FBI agent, she discovered there is more to this story that she ever knew. She takes her life and decides that this man is not going to take it all away. There are points in the story where you laugh. There are also points in the story where you cry or cringe along with Clarissa. She proves to herself and the world that she is a very strong woman! I was so proud of her and yet she was just a character in a bo

House on Plunkett Street by Lorena Bathey Book Review

Image
House On Plunkett Street by Lorena Bathey Phoebe is the main character of this book. She is going through life with the idea that she isn't really worth much that she has to basically settle for things. Till she happens upon a great deal. The house has an invitation she can't resist. The House has a full back story to it. It was built for women who really had no place to go. When Phoebe moved into the house her life began to change. She felt like she had finally "come home". She felt that the house wanted her there. That's when she met Mr. Jameson, the landlord. Also when she started to meet her 3, life changing ghosts. I will not giveaway too much of the book. Phoebe learned, through her 3 ghosts, that life has so much to offer. I felt like these "ghosts" were more like angels. These angel ghosts led her through the tough times in her life. They also showed her how exciting life can be if you just step out of your comfort zone. Sometime
