Do your kids love books? Mine do. But the problem is not all books have a good moral. Most are just fun to read. Hugo the Happy Starfish series has a moral to each story. In The Secret to Happiness, Hugo is having issues with being sad. All Hugo wants to do is be happy. He finds a way to be happy for a minute but then is sad again. He finds a way to be happy for an hour, but then is sad again. On most pages there is a very small piece of Spanish. I love that! It really helps these days to know even a little bit of Spanish. Hugo in the end finds out what it really is to be happy. Suzy Liebermann did a great job on this story. I loved all the wonderful colors. Each page had vibrant colors and neat pictures for even the smallest of readers! Our 7 month old daughter loved the pictures. I am really glad that I got to test this book.
