Same Kind of Different As Me book
This book actually was close to home. We keep a homeless bag in our van of can goods and snacks that we can hand out to homeless people we see. There are so many. Sometimes they are asking for more than just food but we try to help feed them. We almost always tell them to have a blessed day. God fed the masses on bread and fish. I also feel that this is teaching my kids that some people don't have the same things that they do. I believe it helps with compassion and love.
