Pumpkinheads Book Series for Kids

The 1st book, that I received, was Peanut's Mistake by Karen Kilpatrick

This specific Pumpkinheads adventure is with Peanut the dog and Carmin. Peanut knows not to run in the house and yet he does. He gets so excited running after a ball that he knocks the shelf over and breaks a vase. He gets so upset that he runs off and hides. Carmin comes through and doesn't see the mess. She walks through and trips over the mess, she then gets it all over her dress. She is very upset and gets ready to go and scold Peanut. Trying to find him is difficult until she sees his dirty paw prints. She follows them all the way to under the bed. After he comes out Carmin shows him that everyone makes mistakes and she still loves him. They clean up the mess, together.

The last couple pages are questions " What do you do when you make a messy mistake"? Different kids have different answers but Carmin and Peanut say "We clean it up"!

Everyone makes mistakes. So what can you do? Ask for help, try to learn (and maybe clean up, too!)

You can visit www.pumpkinheads.com for more information on these award winning books. Each of the books deals with social and emotional development.

Imagine

This book is all about imagination. You can be anything you want to be. We don't do wands and magic at our house, but....this book was so cute! Each of the kids dream about being able to do different things. 1 kid imagines that he can fly and 1 child dreams they are a baker. This is my 14 year olds dream. She loves to bake and cook for the whole family.

I love all the Pumpkinhead characters! I love the morals and story lines. These are definitely on my list of books to keep an eye out for.

Very good morals to their stories and short enough to keep your little ones attention. My 3 year old loved all the bright colors and smiley faces! Will keep their eyes peeled!

Wonderkid Safety Locks for Children and Pets

These were the best locks that I have ever come across! I have used a lot of different locks in my 19 years of being a mom. Most of the ones that you can buy from Walmart or Babies R Us are pretty flimsy. These Wonderkid locks are very sturdy!
I have been so tired of my daughter walking through the house and she has a new item from the fridge. We have tried numerous ways to keep her out and not one of the ways worked. She just turned 3 and loves to get in to everything. I pulled out these locks and decided to try them on her. Very simple to install. Just pull off the sticker strip and it adheres to whatever surface you are applying it to. Then repeat with the other end. I LOVE these locks! Just to make sure they would withstand my daughter pulling on the door to the fridge and freezer, I had my older daughter stand there pulling and yanking to see if they could withstand the pressure. She literally had herself at an angle hanging onto the handle of the fridge and the locks didn't budge. In my book, they are the best! I am not hyping them up, just because I am a blogger. I loved them. My oldest daughter loved them so much on my fridge that she took a set to put on her food cabinet so that her little sister couldn't get in there either.

Very easy to use, very sturdy and not too bad of a price!

Just keep in mind that you want to know exactly what spot you want this in BEFORE adhering it to the object. I saw another lady post that she stuck it on and then couldn't get it off to put it somewhere else. She gave in a horrible rating because of it. These are meant to stick! You can remove with a piece of string or dental floss. Just slip it between the object and the lock and work your way across until it is loose. When finished, just use a little Goo Gone and the sticky with be gone.

RE-USABLE WITH TWO EXTRA 3M ADHESIVE PADS: If you need to move them somewhere else you can do that with the extra 3M adhesive

Love Love Love these!

Jelly Beans and More by Gimbals

We received these candies to test, right in the middle of moving.

1 day we left a couple of our teens at the old house to finish packing up. I made 1 big mistake. I left this bag of jelly beans with them. When I came back, they were complaining about their stomachs hurting...now wait before you jump to conclusions, their stomachs didn't hurt because the candy was gross. It was quite the opposite! The girls said they were so good that they couldn't stop eating them. The 2 girls ate the whole bag by themselves. I didn't get any.

The girls said the taste was great! Definitely a candy they want in the house, again.

This company does not only deal in jelly beans. They sell so many more candies.

In our house, we love sci-fi and super heros. This bowl is definitely a sci-fi addition to our house. I love the deep orange bowl with an eye ball at the top.

This would be great to buy, right before halloween!

We love to eat cereal in it, popcorn and even sketti o's. Great thing is, I can toss it in the dishwasher and not have to worry about it. Microwave safe.
