How is everyone doing this fine Saturday? What are your plans for the weekend? This morning I got up and went through all the Christmas gifts. I am almost done shopping! I have only a couple stocking stuffers and a few piddly gifts to buy. I love being done shopping before Thanksgiving it keeps the holidays semi-stress free. I usually buy all year. I buy clearance and special deals. I also keep a full bucket of items that the kids can go look through when they come home with birthday invitations. If makes those last minute trips to the store a thing of the past. I just say "ok hun go get a gift out of the bucket". There is only one downfall to buying all year round is if you buy clothes. Sometimes you get ready to give the gift and the child has grown...A couple easy ways to build your "gift bucket", as we call it, is when the kids bring home the Scholastic book forms they always have $1 books. I try to always pick the $1 ones and throw it in the bucket. After every holiday Walmart has clearance and if you wait long enough you can get things like Super hero toys for $1. If you shop at Kmart and have a rewards card, you get points for every purchase. I get free items all the time because of this card. I have already this year got over $50 in free items. It is fun to be able to go to the store put the things you want in the cart and then just have them scan your card and off you go without exchanging any $. Lots of stores have rewards cards. Check them all out. We have also seen 8 free movies in the last year. Every time you spend $100 at AMC with your movie watchers card you get a free movie. I have 2 teens who go all the time. I send the kids with my card and they put all their friends tickets and concessions on it, and I get the rewards lol Yes that is cheating a little but I figure that I had to get out and drive them and then pick them up :) There are soo many ways out there to get free items or great deals. Keep your eyes open and have fun! Have a great rest of your Saturday!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great week! We are only 2 people away from this giveaway...makes me so excited! I am very ready to send out this gift. I already have the prize lined up for when we hit 200. It is from a great small business. The owner is an awesome lady. This has been a great week and half of having this blog and new facebook and twitter account. I have been accepted by a company to get new products, test and then post reviews on her. That is so exciting! It has been a nice blessing that there are also some wonderful bloggers who have been a HUGE help in getting this started and pointing me in the right directions of companies and people..I have also been asked by the sister of a writer to read and review his book. I am also excited to do that as I absolutely love to read. There are quite a few irons in the fire for this site. I'll be happy to share all the stories and fun as they come along. The more likes we have and the followers and such the more we will be able to do. Companies like to see that their product is going to get seen by many. I hope I am doing a good job on keeping interesting freebies and blog posts for you all. If there is something you would like to see on here, please feel free to contact me. I am a VERY easy going person and would love to hear from you! Everyone have a happy and safe weekend! Anyone have any big plans??

12 years ago today my little Victorea was born. Or should I say pulled into this world? It was a scheduled c-section. Her big brother decided to be breach so had to have a c-section with him, but because my water broke with him, he didn't wait till the scheduled date so everything with him went really fast so his feet didnt try to come out first.....anyway....So we arrived at the hospital that cold (Wednesday)November 1st, 2000. They took us in got me all hooked up and then everything was relaxed from then on out. I even walked into the operating room. Jeff, being my rock when in a scary situation as this, held me nice and tight as I was shaking from fear of the epidural. I do not like people messing with my back at all....we got all laid down and they tied my arms down which is scary also, by the way! Then Dr. Mirabile set off to work to deliver our beautiful little mini me. But, she did not want to come out lol The more he tried to get her out the further up into my stomach she went. It got harder and harder to breathe! Crazy kid. It was making Jeff a little weirded out watching this dr put his arm up to his elbow into my stomach lol But she finally came out! She looked so much like me my wonderful dr was like "Tracee, I think I just delivered another you!" She was beautiful! She has been a spunky blessing all these years. My girl has a mind of her own, a style no one understands, yet she loves to the fullest! We never get enough time just to spend together with her being my middle angel. Victorea, Mommy and Daddy love you more than you can ever imagine!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet angel puff!!

Kids get so excited on this day..they are all dressed up and ready for the free candy!! BUT stop and share these safety tips with them so everyone can have a happy and safe time trick or treating. #1. ALWAYS look both ways! Even though you are out trick or treating there are still people out there who are not and they are not watching for you or your child. #2. If you are driving somewhere make sure you have enough gas and a phone to call home in any emergency. You do not want to be in the dark with no way to reach someone. #3. NEVER go into a strangers house! If they invite you in politely decline and leave. Try to stay with an adult or let your parents know exactly which direction you are going and have a curfew. #4. Vandalism is never cool! Throwing eggs at cars and houses is not cool. Someone has to clean it up and it could be you, if you get caught. You can also be arrested and punished as a juvenile. So, don't think that it's fun only if you can get away with it. It's never the right thing to do! Think about how you would feel if someone did that to your house and how bad it would make you feel. (I got this one from a safety site) #5. Try to wear something bright on your costume..black costumes cant be seen in the dark and pose more of a risk of getting hit by a car. Carrying light sticks in a good way to ensure being seen. #6. Consider using a flashlight or glow stick instead of a candle to light your pumpkin. If you do use a candle, a votive candle is safest. #7. Do not approach a vehicle looking for directions or a missing child. Find an adult. #8. If someone tries to grab you scream, kick and draw as much attention to yourself as possible. #9. Do not take shortcuts or cut through alley ways always stay in well lit areas Have a happy and safe halloween!!

This movie is based of real events. This movie starts out where Sam (Chris Pine)learns that his father is dead. When he goes home to the funeral he meets with his dads lawyer thinking he is going to get an inheritance. When he opens the bag his dad left he finds a bunch of money and thinks it is left for him. But essentially finds out his dad had another child...a daughter named "Frankie" (Elizabeth Banks), and it is for her and her son (Michael Hall D'Addario). Throughout the movie he tries to find a way to tell her about being her brother and how to give her this money. Along the way they build a great relationship and learn alot about the other. The end made me cry...Was a very good movie. There was a little foul language but no sexual content. I would say that any child over 10 would be ok to watch this movie. Let me know if you get a chance to watch this movie and what you thought about it...
Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. You will need: •1 cup margarine •2 cups sugar •4 eggs •1/4 teaspoon salt •2 teaspoons soda •4 cups flour •6 large bananas, very ripe, mashed •1 cup finely chopped pecans (you do not have to add these if you do not like pecans) Stir together soft margarine and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing as you go. In another bowl mix dry ingredients together then slowly add to the creamy mixture. Slowly stir in mashed bananas and chopped pecans. Poor into 2 well greased loaf pans or if you would like well greased muffin tins. Bake loaf pans for 1hr and 15 min or until you poke with a toothpick and it comes out clean. Muffin tins take around half of that time. Makes about 2 loaves or 20 muffins. If you try this recipe please lmk what you think...I would love to hear!

I received this as a sample to try. I would definately buy again. In our house we use a variety of deodorants. My oldest son (14) uses Axe, my oldest daughter (16)uses vanilla Secret, middle daughter (11)doesnt seem too picky so uses whatever is in the medicine cabinet at the time. But Jeff and I usually use Teen Spirit if we can find it. Yes I just said my husband uses Teen Spirit lol He has found that most mens deodorants don't last the full day, like he needs. This Dove deodorant is made so that when you shave and get the dark rings under your arm from shaving irritation, it renews that skin. It is made with calendula and sunflower seed extracts. This product claims to have 24 wetness protection and lives up to that claim. I had no problems at all. Now, I am a stay at home mom who care for her grandmother in law, so in all truth I am not out running races to build up a sweat. If you have any questions on this product or any other Dove products feel free to call 1-800-761-3683. This product runs around $3.83 for a 2.6 oz container at Walmart! Not too bad for deodorant. If you try this item I'd love to hear about your experience. Leave me a comment on my page!

I have been trying to keep my kids busy since it got so cold outside. Since we care for Grandma they dont get to get out as much as they probably should. So since this season is too cold to play outside we have been looking for any free things to do with the kids inside. We have found a couple things that are free....There is always the mall play area but with colds going around unless you want to antibacterial your kids hands all the time that might not always be the route you want to take. There are a couple restraunts that have free kids meals with adult purchase. Denny's has kids eat free on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I believe it is 1 child per adult. I will list more as I find them and make a separate blog post for just the free kids meal places. But right now there are a few things to do being close to Halloween. If you live in the Independence Missouri area the Susquehanna Baptist Church is having a Trunk or Treat tonight from 6-8pm. for more information call (816)257-2080. (Oct 28th) On Oct 29th the Fort Osage High school is having a haunted house in their cafeteria. This will be from 6-8pm Cost is $1 or a canned good per child. This is for k-4th grade. The ad says come trick or treat through our kid-friendly haunted house and enjoy activities like bingo, candy walks, and lots more. Bring your cameras and trick or treat bags. Booster club concessions will be open and selling hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and more! Should be fun and all proceeds go to Harvesters! Also tonight Coventry Baptist church off 39th st in Independence has a trunk or treat from 6-8pm from what I have been told there are free hot dogs. There are 3 fun things to do in the next couple days. In the future I will be posting more fun things to do and any free things to take the kids to see. I hope you all enjoy the fun you can have with your kids without forking over a fortune!
