Twilight follower or hater??

Image
According to Stephenie Meyer author of the Twilight series it all started with a dream. "It was two people in kind of a little circular meadow with really bright sunlight, and one of them was a beautiful, sparkly boy and one was just a girl who was human and normal, and they were having this conversation. The boy was a vampire, which is so bizarre that I'd be dreaming about vampires, and he was trying to explain to her how much he cared about her and yet at the same time how much he wanted to kill her," Stephenie says. "It really captured my imagination." That dream became Chapter 13 of "Twilight." Which in my opinion is kinda neat to see the hype that came about from a something as simple as that, just a dream. When the first book of the "Twilight" series was released in October 2005, no one could have guessed the phenomenon it would become. A book about a simple, shy and clumsy girl who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her fathe...

Spicy Black Bean Salsa Recipe

Image
This is another Ro*tel Recipe that was sent to me and is great just it is spicy! It's a spicy, colorful salsa made with balck beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies , corn, red onion (which can be left out if you don't like onions) and cilantro. Ingredients: *1 can ranch style black beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz) *1 can Ro*tel original diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained *1/2 cup whole kernel corn, frozen or canned does not matter which *1/4 cup finely chopped red onion (again you do not have to use this) *1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (we used the spice shakers though that you can buy at the store much easier) *1 tbsp lime juice *1/4 tsp ground cumin *torilla chips, tacos or burritos optional (we used it on all for Taco Tuesday) Directions: 1. Stir together beans, drained tomatoes, corn, onion, cilantro, lime juice and cumin in medium bowl. cover and refrigerate 30 to allow flavors to blend 2. Giveaway for a Superfly Kids cape enter the rafflecopter here!

Image
Hey all my Midwest Mamas Reviews Fans. I had the awesome opportunity to do a review on a Power Cape by SuperFlyKids.com . These capes are SO cute. They are very well made, using Velcro to attach the cape together. Making it easier for little fingers to do versus snaps, and also more safe. The material is 100% polyester making it machine washable on a gentle cycle and you can even iron it(inside only low heat). They can be completely personalized for your child. They also have adult sizes..isn't that just awesome. The embroidery is very well done. These are also made in the USA. It appears it will hold up NICELY. I will definitely be ordering one for my other son, and my niece and nephew. I wanted to get a picture of my son wearing it but unfortunately he has been ill and not feeling up to being a super hero at the time :( however here is a couple pictures: If you want extra accessories for your little superhero check out these photos...
