Post your recipes for my girls and if they pick your recipe I will send you a prize!!!

RECIPES

Do you have a recipe you would like to share with my girls? Two of my girls are home schooled and we are looking for good recipes to try out with the family. So if you could send them your favorite one that would be appropriate for a 16 yr old and a 12 yr old girl to make, you will get sent a prize if they choose your recipe to make. This can be an appetizer, main meal, a neat drink or a dessert. Please leave full instructions. Items needed and cooking times are great!

Thank you for any help! I will post pics and winners when they make the item. I will also be keeping this on here and not deleting so may post at other times to see if anyone has anything new. Each time they make an item,at any time, I will send a prize.

  1. Here's an easy one, that we love in our house... but we're meat eaters... hope they're not vegetarians!!!

    It's my "meat-ghetti"
It's simple, and both can do it.
You're basically making spaghetti, but with lots of meat. If your partial to one meat more than others, you can adjust the amounts. If you don't like one, don't use it!
    ingredients:
Chicken breast or thighs-boneless(at least a pound, more like 2)
    ground beef (minimum 1 lb)
ground sausage (1 package- I like johnsonville)
1 pack polish sausage (you can use beef sausages too, just don't use cheese added)

spaghetti noodles (for a family of 5, figure at least a pound. If you like more noodles, go for it!)
spaghetti sauce. at least 2 jars, 3 if you like it saucy.
    seasoned salt
    pepper
    garlic powder
    onion powder

1 large pot, 1 LARGE mixing bowl, 1 pan (you don't have to wash out pan between meats)

    1) brown off ground beef in pan (drain,-put in mixing bowl
    2) brown off ground sausage, (drain -put in mixing bowl
    3) cut up polish sausage- we cut length wise first, then into 1/2 inch bites. Cut as you prefer (if you like them smaller, go for it!) put in the mixing bowl.
    4) cut up raw chicken into 1/2-1" bites. (they cook quicker this way)
put them in the pan (yes, the same pan you cooked the beef/sausage in) with 1/4c water, and cook until done. season with salt/pepper- put them in mixing bowl

    5) mix up all the meats in the mixing bowl with 2 jars sauce. If there isn't much sauce and tons of meat, add another jar.
Season with seasoned salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders to taste.

    6) in large pot, fill at least halfway with water, bring to a boil and put in noodles with 1tsp salt. once boiling, turn down to med-hi and watch, stirring often. don't let noodles stick to bottom.
Noodles are done when they're soft when you eat them (or when thrown at the fridge, if they stick, they're done- but ask mom first!!!)

once noodles are done, drain completely and put pot back on stove, turn down to medium and dump in mixing bowl.
Once spaghetti sauce is warmed up, it's ready to serve!!

You can check out some recipes I've posted on my site too... let me know what you think!!
I'll be back to post some more later!
