Hugo The Happy Starfish The Promise Ebook review
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
We love Hugo the Starfish at our house! He always has a good moral to his stories.
In The Promise Hugo learns a lesson in doing the things you say you will. If you make a promise to someone you need to keep it.
Hugo is off to the real world and he gets lost. While lost he meets Seedo and promises Seedo that when he rests he will come back and they can go to the real world together. Hugo gets to the nearest island and rests. The next morning as he is to set off to the real world, Hugo gets stuck in some sand and cannot escape. The snail on the island says that in order for Hugo to leave he must remember his promise and be willing to keep it. Hugo remembers and takes off to get Seedo.
I believe this is a great moral for kids. A lot of kids don't understand that keeping your word is very important!
Every Suzy Liberman book is full of beautiful colors and the story keeps kids very entertained!
