Wood gets so gross on top. It is hard to get clean when you can't use soap and water or it hurts the quality of the wood. If you just spray a little Scott's Liquid Gold on a rag and sweep it across the top of the wood product you are wanting to clean it makes it so nice and pretty! It makes the wood look almost new. So if you are restoring nice wood pieces, I would try this first.
