Zipadee-Zip Review and Giveaway

I love the freedon these give the baby , but still give them the closeness like they had in your tummy. Danelle is almost 5 months old and she still loves to be swaddled tight at night. She loves the feeling of safety. Although now with her teething she doesn't like to not have her hands readily available. So she soaks the hand areas. :)The colors of these little outfits are bright and perfect for those little ones. They love bright colors and these patterns are perfect! We wash everything in cold water. But the colors hold. The size small is perfect. They are soft. My older kids want some with hand and feet holes. I was happy to get to try these. The price of $34.95 is not bad at all. I also love that this is a good company run by a Christian family.

The Story of Zipadee-Zip

My name is Stephanie and that cute little girl in the pictures is our sweet little daughter Charlotte! She has changed our world in more ways than one. Next to marrying my wonderful husband, she is the best thing that has happened to me. The love that welled up in my heart the first moment I held her can only be compared to what God’s love for us must look like.

We were told that swaddling Charlotte would help encourage good sleep and diminish the risk of SIDS. Charlotte loved being swaddled and we wrapped her up snug as a bug in a rug every night! Soon, however, little Miss Houdini figured out how to escape from her swaddle and started rolling over. I had no choice but to stop swaddling her. I so was afraid there wouldn’t be life after the swaddle!

I so was afraid there wouldn’t be life after the swaddle! Out of sheer desperation to give Charlotte the restful sleep she deserved… the Zipadee-Zip® was born!

My first attempt at weaning her off of her swaddling blanket was a nightmare! I found it nearly impossible to get her to sleep unswaddled. She would cry and cry! I tried other sleeveless wearable blankets and any other product I could get my hands on but nothing worked. The arm freedom was simply too much for her handle! I soon discovered through numerous internet searches that women everywhere were experiencing the same difficulties! Nearly two weeks went by and NOTHING was working! I thought… how could I give her the enclosed cozy sensation of the swaddle or womb but still allow her the freedom to move her little arms and legs around?

Out of sheer desperation to give Charlotte the restful sleep she deserved… the Zipadee-Zip® was born! The first time I put her in her Zipadee-Zip® she slept 12 hours straight! The next morning she woke up with a big smile, arms and legs completely sprawled out! To top it off, it was much faster and easier to put her in the Zipadee-Zip® than PJ’s and unlike PJ’s, her hands stayed warm all through the night and I didn’t have to worry about her scratching her face. The star shaped design made it easy to have as much movement as she would have in any pajamas.

Well, believe it or not, Charlotte still sleeps 12 hours or more every night and takes great naps during the day. It has been exciting to see similar results from other moms out there struggling like I was. Feel free to check our Testimonials page or our Zipadee-Zip facebook page to read some more first-hand stories from parents and babies who have found rest in the Zipadee-Zip. This little Zippy business has truly been a blessing to our family and I pray that God will bless your lives with the kind of peace and joy that only He can give!

SWEET DREAMS!

Sizing Help
I usually recommend a size Small to start if a baby is 6 months or under and weighs less than 18 pounds. The small is only slightly shorter than the medium but both are plenty long for any sized little one… I over compensate on the length to accommodate even the tallest of babies. The length of the zipper alone on all the Zipadee-Zips is 24 inches (remember that a baby’s head makes up a good portion of their height so even if your little one is 29 inches long from head to foot, the size small will still be plenty long enough). The difference in sizes between the Small and Medium really is in the width or the wing-span I guess you could say. I recommend the smaller fit to start because there is more resistance in that wing-span which gives the baby more of a feeling of being enclosed and cozy. This womb-like sensation is what helps ease the transition off of the swaddle.
