I love movies and books with a "kick butt" girl in them. This is just that. Not a long book so this book was a fast read that I did not want to put down. You sit on the edge of your seat waiting for the next piece of action to happen and you don't have to wait long as almost all the ages have some sort of adventure to it. I would say this is a good book for girls age 10-18. I love that it is not like most pirate books. Thank you Mr Akers for making this pirate book unique.
