Rumiano Cheese Company is the oldest family-owned cheese company in California dating back four generations.

Rumiano Cheese Company is committed to the organic and Non-GMO movement and continuing to produce the highest quality cheese inspired by their founding father’s recipes and cheese making techniques. In 2011, Rumiano launched their Rumiano Family Organic line, which is the first cheese in the US market to receive Non-GMO Project Verification.


Most foods that are good for you are also known to taste bad. I have to say that Rumiano is not like that. I liked the taste and texture of the cheese. I only have 2 stores around me that carry this product, though. The stores by me are Whole Foods. The price isn't too bad either.

Because of the heat, the online store is not open until September 2nd of this year. I know I appreciate that, as I do not want warm cheese arriving at my door.

This Rumiano cheese was easy to cut. No a hard brick like most cheese you buy at the store. We got to try the sharp cheddar. We like to shred it up and put it on burritos and tacos. Yum Yum.
