Snack Taxi Review and Giveaway

Image
Do you go on a lot of outings? Fishing? Camping? Picnics? Our family does and we always have too much trash. Not too good for the environment. We have been trying a few different options for this problem. We have tried BPA free biodegradable baggies and more. The only problem is, that with biodegradable baggies still leave lots of trash. About their company Our mission here at snackTAXI is to make high quality, affordable reusable bags that empower everyone to reduce waste, while embracing business practices that respect our community, environment, and Earth. I invented the first snackTAXI way back in 2003 as a way to stem the tide of plastic ziplock bags that flowed from our house to the landfill when our 3 kids started school! We were packing over 500 lunches every year, and had definitely fallen prey to the easy appeal of the ziplock baggie. snackTAXIs are easy too - really! They are made in our rural Massachusetts workshop by talented (and fun!) local sewers - we are committ

Smoobee Brush Review and Giveaway

Image
Does this look like your house? My girls hate their hair brushed by anyone but themselves. The Smoobee is not like any of these plastic brushes. This is nice hard wood. It isn't heavy though. My neice screams every time a brush even gets brought out into her sight. I brought this brush out to use it on her and she started screaming. "NO, AUNT TRACEE"!! So I started telling her that it was not a regular brush it was a special brush that was made so that she wouldn't hurt. Here is a picture of her getting ready for church and she has the brush. She was combing her own hair and even has a smile on her face. See how happy she is? This is not normal for this child when a brush is around. Having the right brush makes a world of difference. Smoobee was uniquely designed to effectively brush through hair without snagging or catching. It works! It’s great for straight hair, wavy hair, and curly hair. For intensely curly hair, it will still take much effort but at least S

Professor Child film Children and Grief Review

Image
This video is not just a documentary. It is children speaking to children about how grief has effected them. Some of the children have lost a dad. Some have log siblings. Some have lost grandparents. But each one grieving in their own way. Have your children lost someone and you didn't know how to tell them? Or you told them and it was just too over their heads? This can happen. We are grieving along with them. Sometimes we don't remember that our kids are young and need us to be there for them. I truly believe that sometimes kids learn better from other kids than they do from adults. But each child is different and each grieving process is different. If your child is grieving I would sit them down and watch this with them. This is a 40 minute video or courageous children telling you their story. This is good for grades K-12 to watch. It costs $34.99 for the film and they have a free workbook that includes over 40 pages of exercises that go with the film. You can

What's Your ISTA? Review and Giveaway

Image
Do you have something that you do that stands out to people? My sister in law collects books, she always has a new one. They have a shirt that says Book-ISTA, it definitely defines her. If these unique shirts were for boys I would totally get my son the Zombie-ISTA. My husband loves Bacon. Boy they have the best shirt for him too All teens need this one: Ok, so are you a Twilight fan? I am and guess that they have/had Their shirts run to an XXL in some. The rest up to XL. Each shirt runs about $21.99. All shirts are made with 100% ringspun cotton. The shirt we received was a strong material. Not a flimsy cheap shirt. I was pleased with the weight of it. My daughter loves her shirt. I did not get her Drama-ISTA for acting. I got her the shirt because I always call her my drama queen. We have gotten a few comments on it when we go out. All comments have been about what a great idea this is! You really should check them out! This would make a great birthday, Mothe

MN8 Review and Giveaway

Image
mn8 is a small, powerful, drug free magnetic device, which attaches discreetly to your underwear. Every month simply attach your mn8 to your under clothes in the pelvic area at least a day before and during menstruation. So I was very skeptical about this product. Come on most of us take motrin, heating pads, pamprin and other pain and pms aids just to get rid of period pain. How is a little pink plastic object with a magnet attached going to help with this pain? I decided since it wasn't that time of the month when I received this I would have to wait. The next day I got one of my migraines. I was in pretty bad shape so my husband suggested that if this can help with period pain why not head pain. He stuck it on the back of my shirt near the tag and sent me to spend some time in bed. This did not take away the migraine but did seem to make a dramatic dent in the pain. Finally, the other day I was able to use this for what it was intended for. I just stuck the magnets toget
